Yes, you read it right. ‘Middle aged toddlers’ is the term I use to describe people who haven’t come to terms with their age.

With children, you have to show by example, then explain, then guide, then repeat the process a couple of times before they fully understand what you are saying. Because of their limited vocabulary & lack of experience, children take some practice to learn.

But what do you do about the grown up toddlers you meet in your daily life who have to be told, re-told & then told something a few more times because they refuse to understand!!! If people get exasperated by children, imagine what interaction with such people can make you feel.

May it be your office, your friendly neighbourhood, or any place, I am sure you have encountered such annoying people somewhere. It is not wrong to expect adults to comprehend, analyse & respond in a timely & systematic manner, but, some just refuse to grow up!

My mom skills come greatly handy in dealing with them. Patience I tell myself, take two (sometimes more) deep breaths and go about repeating myself :).
